very frequently, when I bring windows out of standby mode, my computer says that is going to shut down in fifteen seconds. When my computer reboots after shuting down, a little bulldog shut down software logo appears very briefly and disappears. How can I stop this annoying little problem?

Bulldog would be some 3rd party software someone installed on your
computer.
Look for it in Add/Remove Programs and/or check the software website.

Bulldog software is a UPS product.

If you don't have a UPS attached then you have the wrong software on.
