Apologies for the Grammatical Hitches in my last post. So this one I am
hoping is a bit more creditable.

I'm looking for a Bulk Emailer that will allow attachments.
I used to use Group Mailer but since funds currently are short, $124 to
continue the
License is just crazy.

Any help Greatly Appreciated,

*Cobian Herald*
- http://www.educ.umu.se/~cobian/cobherald.htm

Cobian Herald is a mailing list program that takes an incoming letter and
distributes it to all the members of the list. The program works as a
service and can be run on Windows NT,2000,XP,2003,Vista or any other NT
based system.

Cobian Herald is not a mail server. It needs an external POP3 server and
an external SMTP server to work.

It is explicitly forbidden to use this software to distribute spam
(unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially
commercial advertising in mass quantities).

How does the program work?

The program checks one or more POP3 accounts periodically. If it finds a
letter in that account, it sends it forward to all the members of the
current list.

Lets say that you want to make a mailing list. You create a POP3 account
in some server, with the address (e-mail address removed). You configure
the program to check this account every 3 minutes. You then add all the
addresses of the persons who will be members of this list. When somebody
sends a letter to (e-mail address removed), the program will retrieve
the letter and send it to all the members of the list.

If you make the list "Open", any user can join the list, by sending a
message to the list address with the subject #REGISTER#. Any member of the
list can unregister by sending a letter with the subject #UNREGISTER#.

If you set up the list to be closed, nobody can register and you, as the
administrator, must add the address manually. All the operations can be
logged and you can also save all incoming letters into a folder.

Cobian Herald is freeware for everybody to use, even for commercial
organizations. The program was created to solve my needs and may NOT be
developed further. Serious bugs should be fixed, though

or This:

are good applications in my opinion, for mailing lists (with or without
attachments) or bulk mail lists

Does the world really need more bulk-emailed attachments gobbling up
bandwidth? Are so so sure that every one of the recipients will thank
you for the attachement?

If what you are doing is legitimate, then set up a group on one of the
freebie servers (Yahoo Groups, or any from among thousands of such
similar offerings). Then, when you've got something that someone might
be interested in, post a message to the group, with a link to the item
you think they might be interested in.

If it's something like a freeware offering, then announce it here. Or,
pick a relevant group. You wont even need to set up your own group.

It all depends, doesn't it. Are you trying to announce something that
people might genuinely be interested in, or are you just trying to pump
out shite? What's really going here?

What I am trying to do is quite legit.
If I wanted to Spam, there are enough Re Mailers out there not to have to
trouble this NG!!
I have been an unemployed Program Developer now over 3 months and I am
trying to send my CV to about 1,200 diferent Companies throughout the World
It may be more 'PC' to write them or even to build my own Web Site but I
would prefer to EMail them.
If your'e so concerned about the motives of people who legitimately want
information about Freeware rather constructing such an ignorant reply. Go
join one of the less serious or Fanatical News Groups!!!

Thanks Al. I have Downloaded 'Worldcast' as per your recomendation and it is
exactly what I need.
Thanks for being Helpful,

Charles

Sorry for my mistake in this case.

*Calypso*

I think is ideal program to do what you want. It have a special feature
called *bulk mail list* that collect addess from local address book or
text file

description from calypso manual:

«Bulk mail gives you an easy way to mail a message to several people at
the same time. Addresses for a bulk mail file are stored as an ASCII file
on your computer. Use other Windows applications to modify or read this
file.
When you create this file, type only e-mail addresses separated by a
delimiter. Calypso bulk mail supports two kinds of delimiters: commas and
return key.
In a comma-delimited format, each e-mail address is separated by a comma.
For example:

(e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed), (e-mail address removed)
In a return key-delimited format, each line of the file contains only one
e-mail address. Press ENTER after each address. For example:
(e-mail address removed) -
(e-mail address removed) -
(e-mail address removed) -
(e-mail address removed) -

Note

A "-" indicates a return. This character will not appear in your file.
A comma-delimited file used in bulk mail is not the same as a comma
delimited file used when importing an address book»

Sending bulk unsolicited emails is, by definition, spamming. All
spamming is of dubious legitimacy. It is /usually/ considered a
nuisance, ethically questionable, and antisocial. There may be
exceptions, but it is unlikely. I believe in the US it is actually
illegal (CANSPAM) - someone may care to clarify.

Have you considered running a Google ad? Yes, seriously! If you tailor
your ad to your area and discipline, you may be suprised at the response
you get.
It may be more 'PC' to write them or even to build my own Web Site but I
would prefer to EMail them.

You are probably better off looking at companies on an individual basis,
and following their requirements for applications rather than blasting
off a volley of CVs into the ether.
If your'e so concerned about the motives of people who legitimately want
information about Freeware rather constructing such an ignorant reply.

Sorry, that last sentence does not compute.

The problem is, this newsgroup gets tons of shithead posts about India,
scams, malware, and all manner of garbage. Asking about bulk email
attachements immediately sets the red flags flying. It's a prejudgement,
of course; and if I prejudge too harshly, then I apologise. OTOH,
reprimanding people for bad behaviour is not bad thing.

Go
join one of the less serious or Fanatical News Groups!!!

If I want to listen to fanatics, I don't need to join another newsgroup.
I just need to get rid of my Dr. Maharaj filter, or read a Babya thread.

I am using DadaMail http://mojo.skazat.com which isn't a bulk-emailer, but a
subscription based newsletter app.
This might be helpful if you get emails from companies who don't mind you
emailing them your current news (e.g. CV/Resumé) updates.
If not, I hope it helps someone else send out a newsletter for their
club/personal news/organisation etc. I looked for a *very* long time for
something like this until someone suggested it in this NG.
Hope this helps.
