Bugs in ppt

It's not a stupid question, but it's easy and hard to answer.

The easy answer:

It's software, it's more than three lines of code. There are bugs.

It's hard to know how to answer that in more detail. There are lots of bugs in
the early releases of 2002 that have been fixed in later service packs, so the
answer depends on the specific version you're talking about.

It also depends on what you consider a bug. PowerPoint still does some really
dumb things that it's been doing wrong for several versions. Are these bugs or
design failures? To me they look like bugs, but from MS' point of view,
they're perhaps things that PowerPoint isn't intended to do properly, so the
fact that it doesn't isn't a bug.
