imho, more publicity is needed re the buggy netork implementation of XP
SP2.

there must be thousands of frustrated souls following every procedure
to the letter only to encounter "limited or no connectivity" or similar
mysteries over and over, thinking they are doing something wrong, not
realizing that quite a few bugs remain in XP's ethernet code.

Is there really "Ethernet code"? I thought Ethernet was a physical
specification; the application would be the TCP/IP code.
