Just found a bug!

If you want to add a domain to "Local Intranet sites" in
Internet Explorer on a Windows XP client then for
everything to work the domain name has to be longer than
3 characters before the domain name extension. I.E.

www.ab.com won't work
while
www.abc.com will!!!!

Is there a patch or hot fix for this???

Hass - are you having a problem *adding* a site with fewer than three
characters in the domain name, or is a problem with the *functionality* of
the Trusted Sites after it's been added.

I have no problem adding www.ab.com or *.ab.com here.

Hass,

I have just tested this with a UK site www.bt.com
on a Windows XP Professional PC that is fully patched to all available
critical updates.
I have not tested this on an unpatched machine.

Let me clarify:

You *can* add the sites but IE still doesnt recognize
them as Local Intranet even if you add them in the local
intranet sites listing.
