using win xp. I have some problems with my computer, called gateway and dealt
with them for 3 weeks.I still have no computer, here's what has been
happening. I was using my computer and one day it just crashed.Gateway had
me write my drives to zero then start from scratch.I could not get win xp to
install, They then said I needed a new HD. I got a new one, went from a 80gb
to a 160 GB. Same thing happened with the new hard drive, cannot get XP to
install. Here are most of then blue screens I have recieved. from both HD.
Asapi.sys is corrupt, ntfs.sys is corrupt, my bios are not acpi compliant ( I
pressed F7 and got rid of that one)but after pressing F7 I recieved a error
screen saying I had a page fault error ( ox50)
I think those were the numbers, also a OX24 error.Could this be bad RAM
causing things to go crazy? I am really at a loss want my computer back.Any
help Would be greatly appreciated.

In order to help you with the blue screen errors we need the complete
*verbatim* text of the error messages, just as they appear on your
screen including the name of the error, the STOP code and all of the
parameters for it and any file file or module names mentioned.

Bad RAM can cause a number of different error conditions, but the
information you have provided so far is not sufficient to draw any
conclusions from.

Good luck
