Browsers stops accessing web after just working

Unique problem I'm investigating. My brower, IE6 with
all SP', will work fine accessing the web (yahoo). Then,
at the next mouse click, fails to access the web.
Repeated trys to well known links fail. This only seems
to impact web browsing. Other applications still can
access the web.

Other information:
- Closing and opening the brower doesn't fix it.
- Other browsers (Opera, Netscape) can't access web either
- Via DOS window, ipconfig shows all is well
- Ping of www.yahoo.com works fine (via dos-box)
- Email access works fine (Outlook XP)
- Rebooting Cable modem & router don't fix it
- Rebooting PC resolves issue

My browser (also IE6 plus all service packs) is doing the
same thing. I have found that doing a system restore
utilizing the last automatic system restore point allows
me to then use the browser under my profile. This is
only a temporary fix. The corruption happens again and I
must do another restore. I do not know the cause of the
corruption. Is anyone else experiencing this?
