All of a sudden, many images are not appearing on my webpages. With the
page open, I click on Vies/Source and the images that are missing have no
image tag in the html code. When I check my FTP client of the FTP online
where my website is hosted, the IMG tags appear there. They also appear in
my HTML Editor. It is only when viewed with Internet Explorer that they
disappear.

I am running XP Pro with latest updates. I have checked for "hijacking"
with AdAware and SpyBot Search & Destroy. Both show clean as a whistle.

the images that are missing have no image tag in the html code.

Would they be the ones that have the pattern src = Dn?????.gif
where you set up your mouseovers? Or the ones which are referenced by
the background= parameter? :)

FWIW after opening that page I see 38 images were loaded
according to the TIF Viewer. (I checked that they were all cached
by re-rendering the page while Working Offline.)

Considering the amount of redundancy with the src = Up?????.gif
and the src=Up?????.gif and other multiply referenced files
if anything I had a hard time figuring out where 38 different ones could
come from.

No, it's not the button images that are missing. I know the image tags are
missing. they are there when uploaded but when viewed online, they are
stripped. Got some help from a friend. Under Tools/Internet
Options/Advanced, there was a check in "Show image download placeholders".
Removed it and all is well now.
