Browser does not display images on Yahoo home page, and other pages

I deleted Norton from my computer when it appeared to be interfering with web browser access
Is there some reason that IE6 doesn't allow me to display Yahoo's home page images? I get placeholders instead (red x's)
At first I thought it was a firewall problem, but since I've eliminated the firewall (norton), I have no idea what the problem is. Hellllllp!!!!!!!!!

Make sure the firewall is completely uninstalled. What Norton are you
using?
