Almost certain I've contracted some &*#$(& virus. Was browsing fine Friday night. Saturday morning, started the computer and found that no matter what browser I try to run the browser reacts as if there is no connection. I've even gone as far as to use my Recover CDs and restored the laptop back to it's original status when I bought it last year

I currenlty use Verizon DSL which has been pinged and verified that it is working properly.

I use an updated Norton virus scan, and have Spybot on the laptop. Nothing popped up

Suggestions? Viral names I can research??

Ugh. Would appreciate any help

Symantec has I believe updated deffinitions twice since Friday 30th
If you restored to last years status, then connected prior to enabling the
firewall and updating its allmost certain you have a virus.
