Broken html links

Sometimes I get emails from friends that sent me links to various websites,
when I try open them with the email it does not seems to work, so I have to
copy and paste the url onto IE, and then I get to the site, Does anybody
knows why this happes on outlook? Why I can just double click and get to the
site

You should never just follow a link that you receive in an email. Its not
safe. The best way to do it is to copy and paste like you have been to make
sure that you are taken to the site you believe to be going to and not
downloading a virus or falling prey to phishing. Many email providers no
longer allow hyperlinks for this reason.

Thanks for your thoughts, and yuo are right when you said the we should not
just click on the hyperlink, but I am more curious about why sometimes works
and sometimes it does, I for the most I keep my anti-definitions up to date
and also my windows patches.
