Brain Teaser for anyone willing to help !

Hello, just a quickie - I havnt downloaded anything over the last few days (that i know of), except a windows update. Two days ago, i encountered this problem -when i try and open up an Internet Page, once it is finished loading, it automatcially closes down. Sometimes the page closes straight away, and other times it nearly loads all the way - same result though - page closes.
I've run Norton, and have no known viruses, and i've just used SpyBot to try and clear out any spyware - still no success. Do you think AdAware will help, and do you have a link for it, or ... ? Any other theories that can help me ?
It kinda seems like a spyware problem, not too sure though - please help !

try running a different antivirus program, you never know
 
Ad-Aware is one of the best Spyware removal programs around - just make sure you update it as soon as you DL it. I see the link was posted earlier. Also make sure that you haven't got any of the following installed:

MSN toolbar
Google Toolbar
Yahoo! Toolbar

Just uninstall and see if the problem goes away and reinstall afterward. I have had problems with at least 1 of these add-ons before. Also check you don't have popups blocked anywhere. Just as a test. You can always enable it later.

Hi Justin, thanks for your help, and to everyone else as well. So far, the problem seems to be fixed. I ran spybot, then Adaware, and found alot of spyware, among others, Coolweb Enhancer was found + deleted. The Internet seems to work well again - hope it stays this way ! Just a parting question - do you think it is worthwhile downloading 'Zonealarm' to protect against this sort of thing happening again ?
