Bootup .dll errors

I have just un-installed StudioLine Photo Basic from my XP Home system.

Now on Boot-up I get a series of errors telling me that a Nº of .dll files
are corrupt or not a valid image. This list is not constant, and sometimes
no errors are generated. When you continue the system does load and the
file in question is present and when I view the file properties, all appears
to be fine.

As I am a complete novice with XP, how should I go about starting to check
the integrity of the XP install on my PC.

The files that have caused problems so far are:
adbcint.dll
msgina.dll
shsvcs.dll
sfc.dll

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Start > Run and type cmd
in the window that appears, type sfc /scannow
(note the space between the c and the forward slash)
This will need the XP CD.
The program will check the integrity of system files and replace from
the CD the damaged or missing ones.

You may need to go to Windows Update after having done this.

Good luck
