When I was running Win98se I had the entry BootMenu=1 in the
system.ini file so as to present me with boot options at startup. The
default after 30 seconds was a normal windows startup.

Is there anyway to do something like this in winXP?

If you need the Boot menu to be displayed, edit the Boot.ini file and create
a second entry in the [Operating Systems] section. You can copy the existing
entry in that section. After you add a second entry, the Boot menu is
displayed and the Timeout value is used.
