XP Home. This computer will not boot up. It flashes a blue screen and shuts
down. I have tried booting to the XP CD to get to recovery then it asks me
for the admin password. There is no password on any account but it tells me I
have given an incorrect password. Any ideas?

The password for the Recovery Console is whatever password you set for
the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, the default is blank.

If there are no hardware issues, you can change the Administrator
password to a blank with NTpasswd. Then boot with the XP cd and you'll
be able to get into Recovery Console. I'm not sure how getting into
Recovery Console is going to help you because you didn't tell us what
the Stop Error (white writing on the blue screen) is, but that's how to
get into the Recovery Console anyway.
