Hi,

In my organizatoin, I have option to start my computer from network.
In that way, I can recover computer from image (ghost), start computer with
dos and etc.
We are using in "3COM Image Editor" to create out menus and images disks.
Now, I want add option to start xpe from network.
The problem is that I can't use "Remote Boot Services" (which include in XPE
SP1) because I want that my clients
will be able to choose from menu what to load (ghost, dos or XPE).
I tried to add "startrom.com" to the pxe menu but I can't start XPE in that
way.

Any ideas how can I let the clients abillity to choose which image to load ?
(dos,ghost,xpe)

Thanks.

No, I don't use RIS.
The DHCP server send the menus to clients using option 67.
But I'll try to use RIS to manage my menus.

Thanks

eyal,

There is no official (documented) way to accomplish what you ask for.
Do you use "3COM Image Editor" tool in conjuction with RIS? I used it a long
while ago to deploy DOS images to devices through RIS.
Then you may add a working XPe image (SDI) to the RIS downloadable directory
(please dig into the RIS directories for more details) and try to set up RIS
to use the image. However, I am not sure you still be able to download XPe
image through RIS with no problems.
