I have an HP computer with Windows XP. When I boot up,
the computer freezes at the HP blue boot screen. I can't
boot in safe mode, to a cd or a floppy. The cd drive
light flahes then the computer freezes at the boot
screen. Can't boot to bios either. Please tell me its
not the worm. Help

I have a client that sent me their machine (DELL) with a
similar problem regarding the slow bios boot-up. It
boiled down to a I/O device that was failing. I would
recommend going into your bios making sure all drives,
CD/DVD, etc are being recognized on your channels. Once
I replaced the hard drive, boot-up through the bios
section went normally instead of the 1-2 minute waiting
for the bios to check all the I/O devices.

Hi,

As soon as the logo screen appears, hit <escape>. Watch the messages screen
to see if you can tell where the initial load is hanging. I would suggest
you open the case and reseat cabling and ram sticks, something may have come
loose.
