I usually use my computer for business applications but occasionally use it
for gaming such as "Call Of Duty". I noticed that the games run much better
if I turn off the firewall, anti-virus, Yahoo Messenger, etc. since I don't
have a high end video card. Is there any way I can reboot using a different
"profile" or something like that to specify which programs load at Windows
start up as opposed to my "normal" start up.

Thanks

jcaudle,

You will need to give the account 'Computer Administrator' privileges to be
able to turn off the firewall from another account. But I suppose you can
turn off the Security and many of the services if you are just playing games
on the account.

To give your 'gaming' account full access:

* 'Control Panel > User Accounts, select 'Change an account'
* Select the 'gaming' account
* Select 'Change the account type'
* Select 'Computer Administrator', click 'Change Account Type'
* Exit User Accounts
