G Guest May 9, 2007 #3 ok bios set correctly. It goes thru checking memory etc. then stops with error msg. remove disk and restart. No disk in anywhere.

J John John May 9, 2007 #5 Does the computer boot at all, like with the hard drive? Go in the BIOS again and ensure that the devices on the IDE controllers are properly recognized and that they are enabled. Reseat the IDE cables and the power connectors to the IDE drives. John
