boot time

it takes a few minutes for my pc to boot up i am running
windows xp home edition os on a dell dimension 2100 20
gig hard drive intel celeron 897 mhz processor 256 megs
of ram

is there a simple or easy way to speed up the boot
process?

Ditch the celeron and get a real processor. AMD Athlon XP's are just as
cheap and perform at P4 levels.
