Last night I tried booting my computer but I received an error message saying
that my ntdlr file is missing. I did not know how to fix it at first as I
tried using the recovery console and a couple of other methods but to no
avail. I decided to go ahead and reinstall windows on a different hd... (my
origional installation was on an SATA HD and I reinstalled it on a normal
ATA). This brings me to my question....

While searching the newsgroups today I found out how to fix the NTDLR is
missing problem but I am wondering if I try to do that if it will work seeing
tha tI now have a second installation of windows XP on my computer. The
reason I want to repair the old version is because I really don't feel like
reinstalling all of the drivers and software again on my new one.

That being said, can I just go ahead and try to fix the old version... or
should I delete my current version of Windows XP? Or is there something else
I should do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help,
Chad

Hi,

Have you thought about just remeving your second hard drive so your
computer won't get confused whan you try to do a repair of the original OS?
