Mark

Have just recently installed Win ME on a extended logical
drive and Installed Win XP on a Primary Partition. When
computer boots up it only gives me 2 options, 1 to launch
Win XP and the other just called windows presuming this
would launch Win ME i clicked it to find that the
computer restarts. The Win XP option launches perfect.
Please does anybody know if there is something that needs
to be adjusted in the computers boot settings so that I
can launch either OP system at Boot up. Please help.
Thanx

Sir,

Go to DOS prompt and c:\>edit boot.ini

change the lines like this

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional"
/fastdetect
D:\="Microsoft Windows ME" *(PLEASE MENTION THE LOGICAL DRIVE)*

This can fix your problem, otherwise reply back
