Boot is slow (suddenly)

My computer stalls at the Welcome Splash screen at startup. It takes minutes
to load but once past the splash screen it seems to run fine. Any ideas? I
have done a virus check etc. Thanks in advance...

You should run a Spyware detection and removal tool.

Adaware
Spybot Search and Destroy

are two well recognised applications. Download them, install and run [BOTH]
following the prompts and dialogue boxes as to what you are doing and what's
being uninstalled, deleted etc.
 
I'll give it a try. I thought I had removed all threats, but? Thanks
