C: has the system
D: is the boot.

How can I make C: the system and boot?

How much time, spare parts and an alternate OS do you have to get the
job done? (Using a disk image file will not succeed.) It is going to be like
moving the \winnt system around like a Chinese puzzle manner between
different physical HD's, setting up a W2K boot track in the new Drive C,
returning the system files to the new Drive C and editing the boot.ini file
accordingly. IOW, much simpler and faster to do a clean re-install of
Windows 2000.
