Hi.
I create an MS Dos Startup Disk (3.5). It recognizes my old FAT32 hard drive
and "sees" it as drive C: when it is actually D:, but it doesn't see my NTFS
drive which is C:. Any way around this? Can I create a 3.5 boot disk and
have it recognize both drives for what they are??

Any help will be appreciated.
James

Not sure why specifying 3 drive letters in parameters
It works fine w/out the parameters. Mounts it as D:

Thanks,
James

Since you did not say in your post how many local
drives you had, I had to give you a command that
would cover every situation!

Hi there,

You need to download an NTFS bootdisk, dos doesnt
recognize NTFS partitions and will only show FAT drives.
Thats why it shows your D: drive as C: because it is FAT

http://www.ntfs.com/boot-disk.htm

There are other bootdisks out there, havent tried this
one above but if this doesnt work there are others out
there that will.

Sincerely,
Bill

Got it.

Thanks again,
James
