Iam still having problems with images being blurred like
they were painted with water colors or looking through a
wet lens. Any other ideas to resolve this problem? thanks.

Having a hard time imagining what you are describing. Some display drivers
and some display settings can look very washed out. Are you set for 32 bit
color in Display Properties> Settings? Checked for an updated display
driver?

I like using the ClearType settings. On some displays, especially LCD, this
setting can make a big difference text and image details. It increases the
density 300% on the horizontal. The default setting is a little heavy for
my liking. I lighten it up a touch using the online ClearType Tuner:

To use the tuner, click on the link "ClearType Tuner updated" found on this
page: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypeInfo.mspx

It could also be that you have signed up with an ISP that
promises "significantly faster internet speeds" for you
dial-up connection. When they claim this, they are just
compressing JPG and GIF picture files to that they are
hardly recognizable. Turn off the "hi-speed" connection.
