Bluetooth file transfer

I recently purchased a Motorola V620 mobile phone and wanted to transfer
files between my PC and the phone. To achieve this, I bought a Belkin
Bluetooth USB adapter and installed this on my PC.

I can send files from my PC to the phone without any problem but when I try
to transfer a file from the phone to the PC, I get the message "Unable to
Connect" on the phone (although it does successfully find the PC).

Has anyone any idea why I can send files to the phone but not from the phone
to the PC. I am running XP (with SP2) and I even stopped my firewall to see
if that was causing the problem - without success??

The solution I found was to get the file ready for sending
on the phone. Right-click on the bluetooth icon in the icon
tray and pick "Receive file". This starts WinXP's Bluetooth
File Transfer Wizard. Send the file from the phone and the
wizard should receive it and ask you where to put it.

IIRC this method *only* began to work after I uninstalled
all the bluetooth support software provided by the phone's
manufacturer and let WinXP handle transfers itself. My
bluetooth-USB adapter is a no-name gadget that didn't come
with any support software of its own.

YMMV.

I have been doing what you suggested without success. Please note that I
haven't installed any phone software, I am only using the Bluetooth adapter
software - any other ideas??
