I was simply burning a DVD [hp dvd300i] and I bluescreened and when I
rebooted [after numerous tries] and eventually loading BIOS defaults, most
of my peripherals were not recognized including my mouse, USB, keyboard,
etc. I loaded most of their drivers and regained use of them but I still
can't see my CD or DVD drive. Any ideas how I can get them back? Or what may
have happend??

I am lost. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

I just restarted any again I lost everything. I had to reinstall the
keyboard, mouse, etc. Ugh!!! PLEEEAASE HEEELLpp!!!

Check the system event log and see what the Save Dump event captured for the
dump. Does it reboot in safe mode?
