Blue Tooth networking

I have been trying to pair my laptop with my desktop and
get a pop up box asking for a bluetooth pin code. I read
through the Blue Tooth Dongle manual and it said to refer
to your operating system handbook? The manual mentioned a
sixteen digit pin code, I wouldn't have the first clue
where to look for this. Can anyone help me and point me
in the right direction??

Confused.....

I think the first time you pair bluetooth devices you make up and provide a
PIN code. You are never asked for this code after the first pairing. The
code is used by the devices to identify each other.
