Blue screen

Hi,
after an upgrade of the winxp of my brother (sp 2 and others) , we did
receive an blue screen error at the startup.
The same thing appear when we try to start in temporary mode.

Anybody knows what is the way to correct it?

Telling what the BSOD [stop 0xXXXXXXXX] error was will definitely help

You haven't given enough info. Without knowing more start here by
researching the specific error:
