Blue Screen

I have been through the KB with no luck. I have a 2000 machine that starts up to a blue screen. This happens with no consistency. It may do it 4-5 times & then not do it again for weeks. Any ideas

Just a thought. Check your CPU fan and CPU temp. It might be overheating.
I have seen similar problems resulting from CPU heat problems.

Great thought David and I will do that, but this is normally first thing in the morning startup. Sorry I didn't tell you that.

It sounds like a hardware issue. I would definitely try swapping things
out. I know it is really hard with an intermitent problem like this. It
could also be a flaky piece of ram, or a power supply that is sagging a bit.
Try swapping things out. Good luck with it.
