I've recently purchase a new mb ASUS A7N8X-X and installed
on it a new AMD 2400+ and a Gigabyte ATI 9600 pro.
After the post I always end up on a blue screen saying:
"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to
prevent damage to your computer). If this is the first time
you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer
if this screen appears again follow these steps.1 check
for virus 2remove newly installed drivers or hard drives
or hard drive controllers 3 check your hard drive to make
sure it is properly configuredand terminated.4 RUN CHDSK/F
to check hard drive corruption and then restart
computer.***stop:oxoooooo7b
(oxf9e63640,oxcooooo34,oxoooooooo,oxoooooooo)"
What should I do???

0x7b is an inaccessible boot device.
Does the hard disk appear in the bios initialization screens ?

Does it contain a copy of windows xp which was installed when the disk was
in a different system, if so thats likely the problem.
You'll have to do a reapair install and reactivate.

When you installed the new motherboard did you just move the hard drive?
Most likely the old controller and this one are not the same type and so the
driver isnt loading properly. Depending on what driver is in use on the
machine, you could use recovery console to disable the old driver and
reenable the new driver (assuming they are included in box). Other than
that you would want to do an inplace upgrade of the machine and repatch the
box so that hardware detection can take place properly.
