can anyone help me figure out what is causeing my pc to always crash
into bluecreen mode?

It would be a big help if we know what error was associated with the BSOD.

If you can boot into safe mode right click my computer click properties.
Select the advanced tab..click setting under startup and recovery and clear
the checkbox that says "Automatically Restart" and note the error then post
it.

psg

What does the message say on the screen. Check to see if your machine is
configured not to reboot when there is a problem. Right click My Computer.
Select properties/Advance Tab/ Select Start up and recovery. De-select
automatic restart. When it blue screen happens post the exact message on the
screen and someone might be better able to help you.

Heres what it says when it bluescreens:

"DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xE88353F0,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xE88353F0)"

This is what it says once in windows:

"BCCode : d1 BCP1: E88353F0 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3: 00000000 BCP4:
E88353F0 OSver : 5_1_2600 SP:2.0 Product : 256_1"

Does the Blue Screen of Death appear during start up, much later or on
Shutdown.

Have you added or changed RAM memory?

Have installed any new programmes, hardware or changed any drivers?

How much RAM memory? Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring Task Manager and
select the Performance Tab. What is the Commit Charge? What was the
Peak?

Create a boot disk for use if you later get problems booting to the
Desktop.

Hope this helps.

See MVP Jim Eshelman's web page for STOP errors at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the "D1: Driver
IRQL...." link in the right side column.

Good luck

The blue screen appears alot after its started up.. but once its crashed
it can sometimes repeat crashing when trying to start up.

A mega problem is alot of the hardware is new...

I currentally have the memory set to 766mb(recommend)-2000mb

At startup the commit charge was:
commit - 143136
peak - 170020
After a few minutes of swat4:
commit - 152888
peak - 600564

and then it bluescreened, again.

Try setting swap/page file to default settings. ie let windows decide.

What hardware is new? Details please. Make and model?

What RAM memory is installed? Is it all being recognised by the system?

What exactly do you mean by 766mb(recommend)-2000mb? How large is the
drive / partition where your page file resides? How much free space is
there on that drive / partition?

The System Requirements for Swat4 are very specific. What CPU speed do
you have? Did you show the game's Systems Requirement to the person you
bought the new hardware from before purchase?
