blue screen going to safemodes

I am krazee about checking, checking everything on my machine.....every
Sunday is spyware-adware-chkdsk-scannow day.

I haven't updated or installed anything this week and all my drivers
etc. are up to date.

I was going to safe mode this a.m., blue screen. Tried the other two
safemodes, blue screen.

I know this is a hardware config or supposed to be based on the eror.
Just trying to figure out how to check......or what to do from here.

I have my spyware-adware progs to run in safe mode.....would really
appreciate any and all help, and thanks for a great group to come to :)

This time (the first time its happened) I got a "please wait " (on
chkdsk twotone screen) right after the boot screen......then it went
into normal desktop, int connection,etc. No other burps.

is cut out for me today, to be able to do spyware-adware in safe mode

well i have worked all day at this since last posting here, and I am
no closer .....


on my list:
about 20 other things listed for the 7b errors

and Have been looking for a frwr prog that can maybe scan and tell me
what drivers need updating.....if not I will go thru device mgr and
check there.
 
I spent most of the night on this too.

I have just to make sure:
reinstalled all drivers for the machine
7 error still there
I have run the verifier without success of resolve of the problem

I have ove the course of the past couple days run 15 diff udpated
antivir/spyware/adware progs, including an online scanner at
Bitdefender ...

Boot error in any safemode still there.
and this morning (always something new with windows), I am getting
"problem with shortcut" error when I open a favorite in new window.
The shortcutted site still opens, but I also get the problem with
shortcut box.

I saw the following in another forum and I will steal it at this
moment:
"note to self....next free day, drop machine over highest cliff I can
find"

PS All my restore points as of this morning, that were there yesterday,
are now gone.

will someone please pass me the whiskey??????

I just keep thinking I could possibly have a bootsector virusd or
something, but none of the progs and online scanner found it. There is
no other way of getting to safemode ????? except thru F8?
 
Today either the computer will come crashing down on the floor or I
will, into an institution.
Have spent 20 hrs. on this.

Today my favs off IE pulldown are doublespaced.
Still can't get to safe mode.

Am getting desktop.htt error, background on desktop is gone. Have
renamed desktop.htt to desktop.old 8 times and followed instrux
purr-fectly, but still goes away after reboot.

the.cats.meow brought next idea Mon. a.m.:
 
turned it back on, had enuf for a while of the stupid machine.


Now after reboot, my Start menu items (programs,etc.) and Favs and tray
icons are bigger.
