Yves Alarie's solution worked. After a single (selection) click on an entry
and unchecking in "Folder Options" the said--exactly--box all blueness among
the entries disappeared.
Gord's steps, which I tried first, did not work even on a single blue entry,
but of course he was right on, too, about the compression.
