"blue areas" in ruler

I was messing around with word today, and suddenly on the left ruler, the
blue areas that were normally there disappeared. It messes me up and I would
like it back. How do I change it to the way it was before?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "White space
between pages" box | OK.
