Hello,

something has gone wrong in creating/uploading since it want's
to contact my system...

"Kerio Popup Killer" <http://127.0.0.1:44501/pl.html?START_LOG>

What's the purpose for this?

Regards,
Thorsten
Thorsten,
I found that script in a web page whose source code I was checking out
as the page appealed to me - cannot remember the url.
I've had the code on by blog for many months without any comments
forthcoming.
So, your firewall brought this up to you? Anyone else having this
problem?

RegEdit,
Can you be more specific. My understanding of host file is to speed up
loading a web page and/or block a web page. If the latter applies in
this case, can you elaborate the problem that you initially had so I may
rectify it? If received no complaints in the past about the web page.
Best,
POKO

what do you think this should do? To embed something, that links
to the users system (127.0.0.1 is the same as localhost) on a
special port (44501) makes no sense unless the user has software
installed that is listening to that port. Or you want to use
a security leak on your visitors systems.

My firewall blocked this with no comment, but Firefox gave an
alert that some site was not available, and I was curious, why
this was localhost. This is evil or stupid (like linking to my
disk using file://).

You included this, so you know, what's the purpose of this script.
Would you mind telling us? Are you evil?

Thorsten,
My wife might think I'm evil at times, but no. The code has been
removed. Again, code was not included for any misguided reason.
Best,

Yeah, sure :( Like that makes me trust you ?
Beam me up Scotty, RIP.

FWIW I have been to POKO's site many times in the past few years or so with
no trouble, and I will add POKO has been posting here since the great flood
(Noah's).
Not that you would trust my opinion but that's my story and I'm stickin' to
it.

This has pissed me off to the point I'm reworking the blog. Thanks for
the plug Granpaw. This time around I'm going to validate the hell out of
it.
Yes, it's true - my first wife thought I was very evil,
