I know how to block specific emails from ONE SOURCE, but
I am getting dozens of garbage emails or spam, who are
still sending emails to my old Internet Service providers
email address. Comcast had my email address at
(e-mail address removed), but change it to (e-mail address removed).
Is there any way to BLOCK all emails still sending to my
old address at (e-mail address removed), since all of my
associates and customers are now using my new address?

Comcast was not much help. It sounds like a simple
setup, but for some reason the old address has not been
turned off by Comcast for some reason.

Just don't connect and download mail. Leave it fill up. Abandon the
account.

You've just broadcast by this ng posting (which I'm not repeating) your
comcast email address to any spammer who is looking (most are). I hope
you aren't trying to protect it.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Mike,

Comcast is leaving the ATTBI e-mails on through December IIRC. If you are
using their web mail to get mail you are stuck with it. If you set up
Outlook Express or Outlook you can set up a message rule to have all your
ATTBI mail go into it's own folder to check it from their or just delete it.
Other mail programs should allow this also.

And as Rob pointed out, don't post a real address on newsgroups. The
spammers will pick this up and you will get more spam and virus e-mails than
you ever thought possible.

Message Rule:

Box 1 - Where the To and CC lines contain people

Box 2 - Delete it & Stop processing more rules

Box 3 - Click Contains people and add your old address

This will send the mail to the Deleted Items folder. For whatever
reason, Delete it from server does not work.

(And don't use your real e-mail address when posting to NGs. That's
the favorite place for Spammers to harvest addresses). Change it in
Tools>Options>News>Properties.

In addition to the suggestions already offered you can use something
like Mailwasher (www.mailwasher.net) to bounce and delete unwanted
messages. eventually the spammer may remove your address from their list
because repeatedly bouncing the messages will indicate t them that the
address is no longer valid. Mailwasher requires authorization to an SMTP
server at your ISP in order to bounce messages, though.
