blocking applications with XP firewall

I notice that The firewall appears to permit all
applications to access the Internet.

How can I stop specific programs from accessing the
Internet? lets say netscape or internet explorer for an
example.

Download and use Zone Alarm (in addition to or) instead of XP SP2 firewall.

Thanks Glenn.

It looks like the service pack 2 and the XP firewall is
little more than another microsoft bodge then.

I think I'll forget service pack 2 and use a decent
firwall.
