blocked words in junk mail

I have EZ Anti-Spam in my outlook explorer, and with the message rules
option, I am trying to change it to block specific words from coming to my
account at all. Right now, they are directly sent to the spam folder, but
when I still have to look through the folder to make sure there aren't any
legitimate emails, it makes it harder. I keep checking the box that says "do
not download to the server" and have also tried "delete from server," but it
keeps coming into my spam folder. After I hit apply now in the original
message rules box, the second box gives me the option of choosing which
folder, or including subfolders. I do that, it says it's saved, but when I go
back into it, those boxes are unchecked, and messages still come through. Any
suggestions would be appreciated!

So, instead of being able to check your junk mail folder for misfiled
messages, you want to delete them permanently and GUARANTEE you'll lose any
misfiled mail? Why?

Where would you like it to go? By the way, Outlook doesn't have a "spam"
folder. It has a folder named "Junk E-mail". If you see any other folder
name, you have a third-party add-on doing the moving and it's not Outlook's
problem.

I don't want it to come into my mail at all. I called the company I have
internet through, who set up the EZ spam, and they said they didn't know, and
that it was a Microsoft issue. So no ideas? Thanks for replying

Again, that way you'd guarantee the loss of any false positives the spam
filter might produce. At any rate, theres no way for Outlook to check the
mail on the server without downloading it first. Tools like Mailwasher
(http://www.mailwasher.net/) are better suited to this. You might also
consider using freeware like http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/.

Is EZ Spam hosted on your PC locally? Some ISPs offer spam filtering on the
server (Yahoo! and MSN, for example) which would produce the effect you
want. The spam would be removed from the message store while still on the
server, before Outlook ever saw it.
