Blocked Senders List no longer seems to work

For months now I have been diligently adding spam e-mails to the Junk Mail
"Add to Block Senders List" but now it no longer seems to be moving any
messages into that folder. Is there a capacity problem with this utility
and/or is there a re-set or workaround for fixing this?

how many addresses are on the list? it has a limit of some 2000 total across
all lists.

FWIW, blocking addresses is not a good way to manage spam - too many are
used only once. Use the junk filter on high and the safe lists instead.

Thank you for your repsonse. I have no idea but expect that I have reached
the 2000 limit due to the 100+ per day that have been sent to that folder;
how do I check the number? Should I clear that list (if I knew where to find
it)?

I have been concerned about good mail getting lost in the diversion to teh
junk mail folder and thus have kept the spam setting rather low; but have
just changed the setting to "High" and we'll see how it goes.

clear the list in tools, options, junk email options... set it to trust
addresses in your address book so you'll have less problems with false
positives.

Done! Thanks so much for your time and patience on this! It is much
appreciated.

I have only 17 blocked senders in my blocked senders list. Everytime I try
to block a sender, Outlook Express gets locked up. I have to close it and
then re-open it, but the emails are not blocked. What could be the problem?

the list could be corrupt.
