NORTON INTERNET SECURITY IS BLOCKING A PORTAL THAT I KNOW TO BE SAFE. THE
ONLY WAY I CAN ACCESS IT IS TO TURN OFF THE FIREWALL PROTECTION. IS THERE
SOME OTHER PROCESS THAT WILL ALWAYS GIVE ME ACCESS TO THIS PARTICULAR SITE?
THANK YOU.

When you tried to configure the firewall to allow the access (after reading
the manual for the firewall in question and learning to configure it) - did
you leave CAPS LOCK on then as well?

Technically - you are asking how to properly configure a third party
product. RTFM is not exactly an improper answer in this case. *grin*

However - what happens when you disable the Norton firewall and use the
built in Windows XP Firewall instead?
