On windows XP pro, How can I keep a software I run daily from putting their
website shortcut on my desktop every time I run the program?

Check within the applications Options/Preferences for the ability to
disable a shortcut being created. Doesn't sound like a well crafted
application if it continuously recreates a shortcut to itself. Might help
if you could post back which application does this.

Sounds like malware to me......
Ask the vendor?

It is a $4,000 sales and accounting program written in Bolivia for Bolivian
laws.
There are no preferences, and places to check or uncheck. I also have to
run "auto-size" to keep it from hogging 100% of the desktop, no matter what
your screen size.

For that much money, the programmers should listen to your complaints.
All these problems are because of the way the program is written, not
because of your operating system.

I agree they shoud fix it (as well as other things), but was hoping someone
here would have a solucion, like I've gotten on these forums for blocking F1
and other handy things.
