Is there a way to block the view of a formula in a cell? I want to have a
formula but i do not want my user to see what the formula is.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Why do you want to hide the formula, just protect the cell or the
form. But if you must for whatever silly reason:

Caution This procedure also prevents the cells that contain the
formula from being edited.

Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. You can
also select nonadjacent ranges (nonadjacent selection: A selection of
two or more cells or ranges that don't touch each other. When plotting
nonadjacent selections in a chart, make sure that the combined
selections form a rectangular shape.) or the entire sheet.
On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Protection tab.
Select the Hidden check box.
Click OK.
On the Tools menu, point to Protection, and then click Protect Sheet.
Make sure the Protect worksheet and contents of locked cells check box
is selected.

By the way, why do you want to hide the formula. Silly I think. Good
luck.

Thanks for your help. The reason I want to hide the formula is I didn't want
to reveal the calculations we used for salary increases.

Do not rely on this method of hiding and protecting as a means of preventing
snooping.

Excel internal security is very weak and passwords easily cracked.

Do not include the data if you don't want anyone to gain access to it.
