Hi
(ppt 2000) I have 5 presentations that are hyperlinked together. One of
them, when launched via a hyperlink from another, blinks for about 2 seconds,
making the Windows taskbar visible, before the first slide. Its a little
annoying and none of the others have this problem. It doesn't appear to be
related to my display either, as the same thing occurs when running on other
PCs. I've tried deleting and then recreating the hyperlink, but nothing
seems to work. Have also altered hardware acceleration too, without any luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks

There are some jpeg images, text (much like the other slides) After I read
your reply Sonia i went back and altered the hyperlink to point to other
slides in the same presentation. Unfortunately this didnt work either. It
leads me to believe that it could be a memory related issue because the
entire target presentation contains many images and also embedded mpegs. The
blinking might be related to preparing these slides for viewing?

How large (file size) are the JPGs in your presentation? What video card (make
and model) do you have and how much memory does it have? How much memory does
your system have and what is the speed of your PC?

Sonia,
Problem solved. It was the animation on the first slide. I have removed all
animation and the blinking has gone. Will replace each animation one at a
time and see if it reoccurs. thanks for your help.
Mike.
