Blinking Fonts

Whenever I start a new email, the font is set to blink. I can find no control
to turn that blink off. It started when I was trying to stop a blinking font
in a Word template or document, and was not in Outlook at all.

Sounds like you are using Word as the e-mail editor then. When composing a
new mail go to Format-> Font... Make sure it is deselected there and apply
it as default.

The blinking is probably in your Normal.dot template. With Word closed,
delete the template and Word will create a new, clean one.
