How can I get a cell to blink or flash when a number is entered in that cell.

Not possible. If you want to mistreat yourself, what is wrong with too small

No built in support for it. You can use a macro to loop and periodically
update the cell with attributes that make it appear to blink.

You can do it using a timer that will execute a white and red backcolor
of a cell. But that will consume a lot of resources.
