blaster worm help

can anyone help me i got the blaster worm
and it has taken over my /taskmanager/msconfig/boot/
and i cant download anything or stay online long enough
to get a patch
my norton run out at the perfect time ;-(
and cant load software, problem with cd
just got pc new
please help

Excerpted from a post to this group. Search the group for many links to
solve the problem.

To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down
to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Recovery/First Failure/Restart the Service.

Close Windows Explorer, run the edit on line 257 which includes the prompt
for the patch once your system has been cleaned.

This script removes all variants of the W32.Blaster.Worm (original, B, C, D,
E and F) and will inform you whether or not the patch is already installed.

well i try service.msc
and i can't get the run to work other then browse
this is another pc im using
is there a easy way to get remote help without passing on
the worm ? or should i just toss it?
im loss ?
