on one computer when I go to advanced tools/system
explorers the left pane is totally blank. Any ideas how
to unblock it so I can see what is in there?

Yep--it's pretty easy:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware
