Why when I visit certain sites do I get a blank white page with "Done" at
the bottom, the page content doesn't load? Have altered security settings
and even tried with firewall, (Norton), turned off. XP firewall already
disabled.

Make sure 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' is set to
'Automatically' by going to Internet Options in the Control Panel and
clicking on the Settings button.

If that doesn't work, try refreshing the page or adjusting your security
settings on the 'Security' and 'Privacy' tab of Internet Options. You may
need to add the site to your 'Trusted Sites' list or manually enable cookie
access.

WARNING: Adjusting the Internet security level on the Security tab may
compromise your system security.

Hi Kenny,
Try opening up IE, click tools, internet options, and click on the security
tab. Click on custom level and as you scroll down, look for "allow meta
refresh" and check that this is enabled.
Ok this and back at the main option screen for security, you can then click
default and apply, ok...unless you are already using custom settings to begin
with. (Although I check all of these settings under each zone, I still set
everything then for the default settings here as there may be problems I run
into with my firewall if set differently).
Post back to let us know what happens.
Take Care...
Dee

Thanks for the replies David and Dee. Have tried the suggestions, no
difference. Here's an example:
http://www.freecomptia.com/core.html
If I click on any of the "Test" links I get a blank white page. Same site
works OK on other PC's but not mine. It doesn't happen on a lot of sites,
just some.

Don't worry, it's the sites' problem. Next to Done, there should be a little
icon with an exclamation point. That means that a script on the page has
screwed up.
